The Hull Aid in Sickness Trust is a small local charity whose objective is the award of grants for items or services which will provide a benefit to the health and wellbeing of people who are in need, and who are sick, convalescent, disabled, handicapped or infirm.

The Trust was established to aid only those who reside in the City and County of Kingston upon Hull (that is the area governed by Hull City Council and does not include any residents of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council area whose address bears the HU postcode).

Grant awards can be considered by the Board of Trustees for the following three groups:

1. Individuals

who fulfil the Trust's criteria and comply with the Trust's application procedure as detailed on this website.(see 'How to apply' section)

2. Social/Field Worker Teams

who can fulfil the Trust's 'Terms and Conditions' and are subsequently approved by the Trustees to receive a small lump sum 'emergency' grant which can then be used for disbursement in smaller amounts to aid their clients/patients in need. (Applications to be made directly to the Clerk to the Trustees. Please use the link in the contact us section for further information).

3. Charitable organisations

whose objectives match those of the Trust (providing a benefit to the health of people in need living in Hull) can apply for larger lump sum grants which can be considered only at the Trustees meeting in July. (Applications by letter to the Clerk to the Trustees. Please use the link in the contact us section for further information).
